Arjana is a small village of 7252 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Arjana depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Arjana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Arjana's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02022600. The area of Arjana is segregated as 4052 hectares irrigated area, 3000 hectares unirrigated, the 200 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell blanket and make their living.
