Aristides Instruments is a Dutch guitar company, founded by the luthier Aristides Poort. Aristides Poort started in 1995 with the development of a composite material that had to match the cell properties of wood. He did this in collaboration with the Delft University of Technology. The result is a material called Arium. From this he started making solid body guitars in 2007, using only a wooden fingerboard and metal hardware.[1]
Production Process
The guitars are cast in an aluminum mold and then dried and sanded. In the final stage, the hardware is added manually.[2]
