Arif Esa (born 13 March 1987) is a British entrepreneur, investor, and author, best known as the founder and chief executive officer of N Global Inc., a licensed financial technology company operating in Canada, Morocco, South Africa, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States.[1] He is also the founder of Cable Exchange Group and ESABER Invest Holding (Morocco).[2]
Early life and heritage
Esa was born and raised in Blackburn, England, United Kingdom, on 13 March 1987.[1] His grandparents were born in the British colony of India before it gained independence, and his parents were born in Malawi, Africa, before its independence.
He attended Blackburn College / Blackburn University, earning a BTEC qualification in Business Studies.[3]
Esa began his business career at the age of 14, launching an online retail website in textiles and electronics. He later diversified into international investments, infrastructure projects, commodity and bond trading, and corporate-to-government funding.[1]
Career
Esa has held senior roles including chief financial officer, account executive, assistant manager, divisional guidance manager, vice president, board member, and chief executive officer across multiple organisations.[1]
In 2019, he founded N Global Inc., headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.[2] The company operates under Money Services Business licences in Canada and the United States, and holds a Basic International Telecommunications Services licence from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission.[4] Under his leadership, moneyIN expanded into Morocco, South Africa, Nigeria, the UK, and the USA.[5]
He is also CEO of Cable Exchange Group, a financial services and trading company with reported assets exceeding £90 million GBP, and Chairman of ESABER Invest Holding.[1] Over his career, Esa has managed more than US$3 billion in trades and raised over US$10 billion for government projects.[1]
Notable achievements include negotiating a new financing structure for the Government of Ghana's US$1 billion road and housing project, and participating in the Sudan Peace Negotiation Program.[1]
In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Esa serves as Deputy Chairman of the Banking and Trade Finance division of the International Trade Council.[6]
