Anzer Ayoob is a journalist and author based in Doda district in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He is the founder of The Chenab Times.[3][4]

Ayoob has worked with several news organizations such as The Diplomat (magazine), Mongabay, and The Wire (India).

Early life

Anzer Ayoob was born in 1999 in Thathri. After dropping out college, he founded The Chenab Times in 2017.[5]

The Chenab Times

In July 2017, Anzer founded The Chenab Times which is known for publishing news in the Bhaderwahi and Sarazi languages. In January 2021, the portal launched its daily news bulletin in Urdu, Sarazi, and Bhaderwahi, for promoting the cultural heritage of the region.[6][7]
