Anupam Hari (born 3rd September 1984) is an Indian Filmmaker Director and content creator majorly known for his work as a director in Anurager Chhowa, Paap , Eken Babu and many more .[1] He has received the best director award by popular choice voting for his directorial work in the serial Anurager Chhowa at TV9 Bangla Ghorer Bioscope Award 2023 .
Anupam Hari had started his directorial journey back in 2014 with Zee Bangla tv serial Dwiragaman. Hari had a streak oof successful ventures since then and currently he is working on his upcoming projects with SVF.
Biography
Anupam Hari was born on 3rd September, 1984 at Birati , Kolkata , West Bengal . His father is Mr. Gobinda Hari [2] . He had a special interest in the cultural world from childhood. Participated in various events of the neighborhood especially drama. In 2003, he joined a team of one-act play called Sinmiri Prayas and started acting, lighting the set and giving music in various parts of Bengal. After completing BA in 2006, he joined Rabindra Bharati University to study drama. During this time, he had a special connection with the plays of Kolkata and the plays of different parts of India. In 2010, he completed MFA with first class in production design. He started working as an assistant industrial director in Tollygunge Industries. Started working as Associate Director in 2011.
Later he started his directorial journey with Zee Bangla serial Dwiragaman in 2014. Later he went on to work with SVF for his many other serials. His latest serial Anurager Chhowa is one the highest TRP show at its category.[2]
Anupam Hari is also a big follower and devote of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu . Due to his love for Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu he started a YouTube Channel called Sri Chaitanya Sripat where he makes documentaries to show the legacy of Mahaprabhu.
Career
Anupam Hari started working as an Associate Director in 2011 with veteran directors like Anindya Banerjee, Suman Das, Abhijit Dasgupta and many more. Later in 2014 he started working as an director for his debut serial Dwiragaman. After that he directed the serial Chokher Bali (Based on Chokher Bali by Rabindranath Tagore ) that aired at Zee Bangla in 2015 .
His directorial Bhootu had huge appreciation for it's unique story line and presentation in 2016. In 2018 Hari ventured into OTT his first web series Eken Babu Season 2 which released on OTT platform Hoichoi . His second web series Paap released the very next year, 2019.
Hari also worked on his first Hindi serial Riston Ka Manjha produced by Tent Cinema that aired on Zee TV in 2021. He started his latest released SVF production Anurager Chhowa in 2022 currently being aired at Star Jalsha which in 2023 got Tele Academy Award for Most Popular Serial, Best Actor and many others.[3]
