Anup Kumar Prashar[1], (born 14 September 1978) popularly known as ‘Star maker’, is a Music producer and presenter in the Pollywood industry, Also known as face of "Ullumanati[2]. He started his career as an Artist manager and in 1999 he became the proud founder and owner of ACME Muzic and ACME Entertainment[3]. Further, to spread his wings in the entertainment sector, he launched his companies AK Productions and Ullumanati[4] in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Anup is also recognised by the name of ‘Launch machine’, as he has kick-started the career of many popular Punjabi singers. He has been the backbone of some highly celebrated faces of Punjabi industry which includes internationally acclaimed stars like Yo Yo Honey Singh, J Star, Money Aujla, Viruss[5], Alfaaz and Romey Gill.

It is by the virtue of his hard work, creative brilliance and profound skills that he has nurtured a sparkling career for all his clients. Further, his enlightening guidance has enabled over 100 Punjabi stars to accomplish their dream career.

Early life and family

Anoop Kumar Prashar [6] was born on 14th September 1978, in Mathura, India and brought up in Chandigarh- ‘The city beautiful’. He is a Hindu by religion and has done his schooling from Chandigarh only. Kumar started his career as an Artist Manager and his first project was with Late Romie Gill, the famous Punjabi Singer. Anoop was the man who presented the very famous album- Nakhra Chadi Jawani Da, to T- series. This very album boosted his career to great heights and he started to get many new projects. He is happily married to Navgeet Kaur, who actively supports his work as the wardrobe and Makeup advisory for all his companies. They both are blessed with a son.

Career

Anoop Kumar is presently the owner of three music production houses- ACME Muzic, ACME Entertainment and Ullumanati. He has torched the absolute direction of success to many Punjabi singers, which has helped him bag the tag of ‘Star maker’ in the Pollywood industry. Kumar has been the backbone behind the launch of a number of singers, musicians and music bands. He has also worked with many famous artists of Indian Music Industry including Malkit Singh, Daler Mehndi, Gippy Grewal, Jassi Sidhu, Harbhajan Maan, Fazialpuria, Gagan Kokri, Nav Bajwa. His guidance has vested name and Global recognition to many present singing sensations of the Punjabi Music industry. The list includes the name of ace artists such as includes Late Romie Gill, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Alfaaz, Money Aujla[7], Leo, J Star, Sufi Sparrows, KingKaazi[8], Viruss[9], Stylish Singh. Brown Gal and many more. These stars have not only made a name for themselves but have also helped the Punjabi music gain popularity worldwide. Kumar’s Music production house- Ullumanati has given music to a series of new movies, which includes the highly appreciated names such as Raduaa and Kittie Party. These are movies, which have been blessed with the voice of leading singers of Indian Music Industry such as Ranjit Bawa, Navraj Hans, Dilpreet Dhillon, Noora Sisters, Mohit Chauhan, Late Soni Pabla and Harshdeep Kaur.

Pollywood

Anoop Kumar has produced Punjabi movie Raduaa[10], which released on 11 May 2018. The cast of the movie includes some globally appreciated names, few of which are Nav Bajwa, Gurpreet Ghuggi, B.N Sharma and Satinder Satti.
