Anuj Tikku was Born on Friday on 10th May 1974. He is the only son of father Arun Kumar Tikku and mother Rekha Tikku a housewife and homemaker.
Early life and Education
His early education took place in an all-boys boarding school in Dehradun the prestigious Welham Boys' School. He was soon whisked off to London where he did his O levels and A levels at Christ's College, Finchley, with a Graduation in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. After spending seven years in the UK, He came back to India to be with his folks in Delhi that was 1995.
Career
A post-graduation in Management was from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, where he went on to work for many multinational companies like Modi Xerox, Satyam Infoway Ltd. v. Sifynet Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Info-way, ABN AMRO Bank, Citibank India. He went through a divorce after one year of marriage which lead him to switch to the creative side. This journey started in my early thirties, then he went on to work for Red FM 93.5, BIG FM (Indian radio station), and TIMES NOW in the role of client servicing and producer.
Then started another journey that of an actor from 2005 to 2013. He did 65 commercials and more than 20 films. The tragic murder of his father leads him to lead Mumbai and start on yet another adventure bit a much happier one, that of a travel blogger[1]. In 2015, he started to travel the world and the whole of India documenting his journey through his blog www.tikkustravelthon.in.[1]
Today in 2020 he finishes 5 years of that journey which lead him to become a published author, with more than 22 books selling online through amazon.in[2] and KDP[3] select.
He currently resides in Delhi in his own house at Surajmal Vihar[4] East Delhi with both of his parents. His mother passed away from cancer in 2008 and his father was murdered in 2012. He stays on his own and spends a lot of time with my ninety-year-old grandmother in Dehradun who is still going strong. He is single now and as always ready to mingle.
