Anthony Van Der Wielen is an Australian-based Real estate agent and Sports star agent accredited with the AFL (Australian Football League).[1] He is also currently Vice President of the South Fremantle Football Club, Managing Director of Empire Sports Management, Principal of Empire Property Solutions and FPS Commercial Property.[2]
Education
Van Der Wielen was Born and raised in Fremantle, Western Australia. He attended Phoenix Primary School between 1979 - 1985, St Brendan's College 1986 -1987 and Hamilton Senior High School 1988 -1989. After leaving school at the age of 16 he later went on to obtain a Diploma of Real Estate in 2005 from West Coast Property Training.[3]
Career
Sports Star Agent
Van Der Wielen founded Empire Sports Managements in 2004, a company that Manages a number of AFL players, professional boxers, international cricketers and associated sponsorships, contracts, and events. In 2008, he joined the South Fremantle Football Club's board of directors. He was appointed as a Commissioner in 2016 and served as the government of Western Australia's commissioner for combat sports for a term of 2 years. He has held an AFLPA agent accreditation for approximately 18 years.[4] Van Der Wielen currently represents AFL players including Tim Kelly,[5][6] Shai Bolton, Marlion Pickett, Matthew Parker,[7] Quinton Narkle, Hugh Dixon, and many others. Over the years he has represented many high profile sports stars and players including household names such as: Jeffrey Farmer, Andrew Embley, Glen Jakovich, Paul Hasleby, Ashley Sampi, Antoni Grover and Adam Hunter.[8]
Real estate Agent
Van Der Wielen founded Empire Property Solutions in 2003. In 2012, he purchased a commercial real estate company known as Fremantle Property Services now known as FPS Commercial Property.[9]
