Anthony James Coffey (born 1967, in Boone, North Carolina, USA) is an American pop-artist and illustrator who currently lives and works in New York City.[1][2][3][4] He is best known for the drawings and illustrations of the "The "Unofficial" Beanie Baby Coloring Book". Anthony Coffey is an associate member of the National Watercolor Society.[5]
One of his collectors was Artine Artinian,a French literature scholar. He donated his art collection of artists'self-portraits to the Appalachian Cultural Museum in 1990.[6] Several paintings by Anthony Coffey are included in that collection. The museum exhibit is called "Artine Artinian Collection of North Carolina Self-Portraits". In 2000 Anthony Coffey was in a group exhibition "The Darkside" in famous New York City spot - CBGB 313 Gallery.[7] In 2010 he participated in "Subtle Arrangements”,a group art project curated by Basak Malone at Gelabert Gallery. Currently Anthony Coffey exhibits his paintings in SoHo, New York City at the Ward-Nasse Gallery. [8]
