Anthony Isom-Russo (born October 15th, 1993) Also known as Young Ceo, is a former American Professional Soccer Player who has represented the United States at under-15 and under-17 levels. He signed with celebrity boxing in August 2021, and won first fight in November 2021 at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City with a 2nd Rd knockout of Josh Adams. Isom-Russo won his second fight in March 2022 in Atlantic City with a Unanimous Decision over Mike Mazza. His next fight vs Haim Gozali Rumored to be in late 2022.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

On October 15th 2022 he won the Celebrity Boxing Super Middleweight Championship with a split decision over the undefeated Gypsy Vanner.[7] He is the current Celebrity Boxing Super Middleweight Champion.[8][9]

His current boxing record is 3-0.

Biography

Isom-Russo was born in New York, New York to Italian American parents.

Early Career

Isom-Russo started his youth career with New York Red Bulls academy. He continued his youth career in the system of Major League Soccer for the 2008-2009 season. Eventually moving on to Brooklyn Knights of USL in late 2009. At the age of 15 professional clubs started offering him contracts, initially he verbally committed to play college soccer at NC State. He eventually elected to sign a professional contract with Fiorentina instead.

Italy

In 2011 he signed with Serie A side Fiorentina, immediately being loaned to Serie B side Empoli F.C.. In 2012 the loan to Empoli F.C. was made permanent through 2014.

Moldova

In 2012 he was loaned to FC Olimpia Balti of the Moldovan Football Federation and returned to Empoli F.C. shortly after.

Chivas USA

In 2013 rumors of a loan to Chivas USA of Major League Soccer were confirmed when head coach of Chivas USA , José Luis Sánchez Solá tweeted confirming the move. He returned to Empoli F.C. after just a few months as there was speculation of Chivas USA dissolving. In 2014 Chivas USA was dissolved.

Italy

Isom-Russo returned to Empoli F.C. and spent the remainder of the 2013-2014 season in Italy.

Injury

Since 2015 Isom-Russo has been linked with clubs in Italy, England, Dubai, and unsurprisingly his former club New York Red Bulls. However he remains a free agent. It is believed he had suffered a significant back injury and perhaps that scared potential clubs away.

International Career

In 2007 he represented the United States at under-15 level. In 2009 he represented the United States at Under-17 level at the Gothia Cup in Sweden. In 2012 he was approached by the Italian Football Federation to join the Italy U21 side for a training camp based in Umbria, Italy. After over 1 year of trying to obtain Italian citizenship, Isom-Russo decided to move on from possibly playing for Italy and decided if at any point the opportunity came, he would play for the United States, his country of birth.

He is related to Jasen Isom former San Fransisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints Full back

He is related to Mo Isom (birth name Mary Morlan Isom, born on October 25, 1989) former Louisiana State University Tigers Goalkeeper. Isom holds the LSU all-time school record in women's soccer with 35 victories and 25 shutouts.
