Anthony Beckford is an American politician of Jamaican descent in Brooklyn, New York.[1][2] A member of the Democratic Party, he is the elected District Leader - Male State Committee Member of the New York State 43rd Assembly District,[3] including Brooklyn neighborhoods of Crown Heights, Flatbush, East Flatbush and Prospect Lefferts Garden. Beckford[4] won his campaign on June 25, 2024, beating the incumbent Akel Williams.[5] Beckford is the 3rd Vice Chair of the Kings County Democratic County Committee, Chair of the Rules Committee and Chair of the Public Relations Committee.
