Alexx Antaeus, a.k.a. Antaeus, (born June 9, 1961 in Patras, Greece) is a Greek-American musician[1] credited with producing five platinum albums in the Chill-out/EDM music genre which propelled the Grecian EDM music scene. He is also known by his peers as a voting member of The Recording Academy, the governing body of the Grammy Award, for more than 25 years, and promoting / supporting the reggae music industry globally.

History

Antaeus started as a DJ/remixer in the late ‘80s.[2] Since then, he has worked for a artists such as Young MC, Falco (musician), The Rolling Stones, Earth, Wind & Fire, Lonnie Gordon, Malcolm McLaren, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and Julian Marley. His personal albums include Byzantine Meditation, World Prayer, zero4, and Chromasounds. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry, and in the past he has been a Billboard_(magazine)|Billboard Magazine reporter and a panelist for the Winter Music Conference. His music has been used for TV commercials and compilations like Buddha Bar VIII.
