Anshuman Kishore Singh (born 08 August 1973) who always strived to be a versatile director, always created challenges for himself.[1] He has succeeded in proving himself and is continuing the same. He doesn’t want to be devoid of vision and the importance of direction. Inspired by American film director Steven Spielberg, Anshuman believes in delivering uniqueness in direction. He is therefore famous for shooting various types of shows that incorporate different styles.

Early Life

Born in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, Anshuman Kishore Singh belonged to a middle-class family. His father was posted there as a medical officer. Anshuman and his older sister have learned the values of honesty and hard work from their parents. His father was later posted as a medical officer in Sultanpur Jail. Anshuman studied there for a few years, and then the family got relocated to Kanpur, where he completed his 10th grade at Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School and his 12th grade at Sheiling House School, Kanpur.[2]

Career

Known as a very bright student, Anshuman also won the red belt in martial arts. He was a district champion and state-level player in Taekwondo. After the 12th grade, he studied at Delhi University and completed a bachelor's in commerce. He was inclined towards journalism and got his job at the Samachar Bureau, Delhi. In his early life, he received appreciation for his local show Siti Hulchul on Siti cable, which became too popular. The shows named Cityhalchal and Haal-e-Shehar are based on elections. Later on, he topped the certification course in film direction at TCIT, Third Channel Institute of Television (Delhi). He then got an opportunity to assist Ronnie Singh, also known by the name Ranveer Singh. Ranveer Singh, who had written “The Long Duel '' in 1967 and is known for his Indo-Hollywood movie "Shalimar" as an Executive Producer, became the guide to Anshuman. Anshuman Kishore Singh worked as his assistant in the "In the Footsteps of Guru Govind Singh '' documentary. Well-focused on his work and study on the subject, Anshuman was then promoted to be the Chief Assistant Director for his deep understanding.

Anshuman's strong desire to learn about history drives him to investigate a variety of topics. He worked as the Chief Assistant Director on "India's Most Wanted.’ After coming to Bombay with multiple concepts, Anshuman met the owner of MAD Films, Sunil Manchanda, who approved Shree 420, anchored by Prem Chopra, which became famous on Zee TV. This gave him recognition and an escalating career platform as a writer and director. He then directed Jayate, the late actor Irrfan Khan's final television serial, which aired on the Sahara channel. This television serial brought his journalistic approach to reality and rationality into focus. Anshuman Singh's Kahani Jurm ki and Hatim on StarPlus are remembered for their uniqueness in concept and direction. Crime Patrol on Sony TV was the turning point for Anshuman Singh, and the viewers' choice proved Anshuman's realistic direction, and Crime Patrol reached new heights on TRP. One more in his bucket for TRP gains in the television industry was CID - the Special Bureau, which was directed by Anshuman.[3] His creations include the most expensive TV thriller show on Sahara Channel, Kohinoor, and Sahara's hit show Kittu Sab Janti hai. Anshuman became the highest-ranking television director after the massive success of The Left-Right-Left in 2008.[4] Anshuman Kishore Singh contributed his knowledge and skills to launching Mahua Channel with Prakash Jha, directed the Bahubali TV series, and became famous in the Bhojpuri film industry. Naa Aana Iss Des Laado, Bhaskar Bharti, and Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi are also acclaimed for their performances and realism. Sapno ke Bhanwar Mein and Gustaakh Dil: Initial Shows of Life OK have been directed by him. One of his best experimental projects was the film Aman Kachroo for StarPlus and Savdhaan India.In 2020, Anshuman Kishor Singh was awarded as 26th Sol Lions Gold Award for favourite director for Mere Dad ki Dulhan[5], which made him the most amazing director.Anshuman Singh is famous for his fictional story direction. He directed Laxmi Ghar Aai[6], Kuch Rang Pyaar ke Aise Bhi, and the Honor web episode for Hungama.

Anshuman as a curious soul is a very good researcher too. He has done an in-depth research on paranormal activities, life after death and also about the world of ghosts. He has also studied and did research on worldwide history very well.
