Anna R. Haskins is an American sociologist and assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at Cornell University. She is affiliated with the Cornell Prison Education Program, the Cornell Population Center, and the Center for the Study of Inequality. Haskins is known for studying the intergenerational consequences of incarceration on children's educational outcomes and school engagement.[1][2][3]

Biography

Haskins received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2003 and completed her graduate degrees in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison[4]. She earned in Masters of Science in 2009 and her PhD in 2013. From 2013 to 2014 she was the Provost's Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University, where she was affiliated with the Columbia Population Research Center and the Fragile Families Working Group. She has worked as an assistant professor of sociology at Cornell University since 2014. In 2019 she was awarded a prestigious William T. Grant Foundation Scholars Program Award. [5]
