Ann Blumenthal Jacob, author/producer (nee Jacobs) was born April 24, 1948 in Kirkwood, Missouri.

She has produced for the Award-winning PBS series "American Playhouse", "Great Performances", BBC

"Shakespeare Plays". She is a founding partner with Patricia Ryan Lampl of On the Aisle Productions and together for HBO they produced the series "What Matters" and a special for HBO based on that series.

For PRI radio they produced "On the Aisle" a series of interviews with playwrights hosted by Philip Lopate.

She and Ms. Lampl co-wrote with Tish Rabe, "Love for Grown-Ups: The Garter Brides Guide to Life when you already have a Life".[2] For Huffington Post they wrote a column based on the book.

She is a board member emeritus of Primary Stages[3] and a supporter of their student matinee series introducing children to live theatre. She was awarded the Volunteer Service Award from Women's Prison Association. An organization devoted to assistance for women in the criminal justice system.
