Anil V. Nagendran (Born 25th May 1964) is a Indian film director, Script writer, Lyricist, Producer based in Malayalam cinema.[1]

Early life

Anil V. Nagendran was born in Cheriyazheekal, Kollam, Kerala. He graduated in Zoology from D.B.College,Sasthamcottah and Law from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Trivandrum. Anil V. Nagendran is the grandson of versatile genius and renaissance leader Dr.V.V. Velukutty Arayan [2] [3] and son of Advocate V.V. Nagendran and K. Savithri.

Career

Anil produced audio cassettes/CD programs on the life's of veteran communist leaders such as E. M. S. Namboodiripad, Lenin Rajendran|, P. Krishna Pillai, A. K. Gopalan and E. K. Nayanar in Malayalam language during the period of 1997 to 2002.[4] He was the general council member of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy|Kerala Chalachitra Academy, under Kerala government, famous for International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). Filmography

Anil V. Nagendran made his directorial debut in 2014 with the movie, Vasanthathinte Kanal Vazhikalil|'Vasanthathinte Kanal Vazhikalil'[6] [7] [8] It was a periodical fiction on the past history of pre - independent Kerala and struggles of the downtrodden.[9] He himself has produced the movie and written the story, Screenplay and lyrics. The movie got Kerala Film Critics Association Awards|Kerala Film Critics Association Special Jury Award. Anil V. Nagendran's second movie THEE [10] [11] released in 2022 [12]. He is the director, script writer and co - producer of the movie. Anil V Nagendran has also written the lyrics for the movie. [13]
