Angela Caito (born 1971) is an American screenwriter, film producer, author, and content writer. She is best known for her work in independent film and for founding

  • Spiraling Film Productions LLC, a Tennessee-based production company focused on faith-inspired and human-interest storytelling,[1]
  • Writing Mind, a professional writing services company established in 1991.[2]

Early life and education

Caito was born in 1971 and grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee. She developed an interest in writing during her early teens and began creating short stories and amateur stage plays, which were performed locally.[3]

She attended Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee. After high school, Caito worked in the hospitality industry as a bartender, waitress, and restaurant manager before pursuing writing and the film industry full-time. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Digital Marketing from Full Sail University.

Career

Early writing and theatre work

In the early 1990s, Caito wrote short scripts and one-act plays that were included in regional theatre productions in Georgia and Florida. [2] She briefly appeared in the 1995 Warner Bros. film Something to Talk About as well as the 1997 Warner Bros. film Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and later in a student-produced horror film in Jackson, Mississippi, in 2005. Although she explored acting early in her career, Caito decided that her true passion was writing, so she continued to work on screenplays and short stories.

Writing and production work

Since the early 2000s, Caito has written several original screenplays and short films, including co-writing Driving Shame, as well as writing The Dinosaur, and The Offering and Spiraling. Her production experience expanded when she co-founded 3 City Production Coordination, based in Johnson City, Tennessee. Through this company, she helped coordinate crews, locations, and logistics for productions with companies including Discovery Network, Netflix, and other media outlets.[4]

Spiraling Film Productions

In 2024, Caito launched Spiraling Film Productions LLC, a production company dedicated to creating meaningful, story-driven films. Its first feature project, Spiraling, is a faith-based drama centered on addiction, redemption, and forgivenes. The film is in development in Tennessee.[1] The project, which filmed a proof of concept in Bristol, Tennessee and Bristol, Virginia, has drawn community support and regional attention for its focus on addiction and recovery as well as for bringing on local Tennessee talent and crew.[5]

Writing Mind

Caito founded Writing Mind in February 1991 as a full-service content and copywriting business.[2] The company produces SEO-optimized web content, articles, marketing copy, and other written materials for clients in the travel, transportation, lifestyle, and entertainment industries.

Books and publications

Caito is also an author, with works available on Amazon. Her titles include:

  • Frozen Lasagna and Other Life Choices

Her writing blends humor, insight, and emotion, often inspired by real-life struggles, faith, and perseverance.[3]
