Andrew Kenneth Woeber is an American investment banker, investor, and business executive.[1] He formerly served as a partner at Centerview Partners and was head of U.S. M&A at the investment bank Greenhill & Co..[2][3]
Early life and education
Woeber was born to Kenneth A. Woeber, a retired emeritus professor, and Patricia Woeber, a travel writer.[4] He holds a BA degree from Stanford University and a JD from Harvard Law School.[4] At Harvard, he met Joy Sayour who he married in 2001. Joy was a partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell.[4]
Career
Woeber started his career as an attorney for Cravath, Swaine & Moore.[5]
In 2000, Woeber became an investment banker at Morgan Stanley.[4]
In January 2008, Woeber left Morgan Stanley and joined Greenhill as a managing director.[5][3] Concurrent with his new role, he opened a Greenhill branch in San Francisco.[5][6] From 2016 to 2018, he was the co-head of mergers and acquisitions (M&As) at Greenhill.[7][8]
In April 2018, Woeber joined Centerview Partners as a partner and a merger and acquisitions specialist.[7][9][10]
During his career, Woeber has worked on multiple M&A transactions involving companies such as Amphenol, Bacardi, Berkshire Hathaway, Blackstone, Comcast, Clorox, GoDaddy, Safeway, Time Warner, Wells Fargo, and others.[10]
Woeber currently serves on the board of directors for Amy's Kitchen, a leading packaged food company, and previously served on the board of directors of Central Garden and Pet Company, a leading consumer products company.[2][11]
