Amin Ghafari (Persian: امین غفاری , born 13 June 1991, in Tehran, Iran). He began his musical education at age 7, initially studying the dulcimer with Karrar. By age 9, he transitioned to the Iranian style violin, receiving instruction from Mateen and Mohammad Baharlo. Ghafari furthered his studies at the Tehran Music Conservatory, where he specialized in classical violin under the mentorship of professor Marjan Ghanbari. He subsequently attained his master's degree in world music playing from Tehran University, guided by Professor Setareh Beheshti.[1][2][3][4]

Education

In 1994, Ghafari contributed to the Iranian music scene by recording Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, marking its inaugural release in the country. His 2016 solo performances at Tehran's Vahdat Hall and Azadi Tower were well-received, drawing attention from both the media and the public.[5][6]

His international acclaim was further bolstered in 2022 when he secured the gold medal at the World Music Competition in Osaka, Japan. Additionally, he was honored with a special award from the esteemed Henle verlag company.[7][8][9]

Career

In 1994, Ghaffari made a significant contribution to Iranian music by recording Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto with an orchestra file, marking its first release in Iran. His solo concerts in 2016 at Tehran's Vahdat Hall and Azadi Tower garnered widespread acclaim from critics, media, and audiences alike.[10][11]

He achieved first place at the "Competition Osaka International Music" in Japan. This recognition came during the contest's 22nd edition. In addition to this accolade, Ghaffari was also honored with a special award from the company Henle Verlag. Established in Osaka in 2000, this event is a renowned comprehensive music competition.[17][18]
