Amandeep Singh Bhogal
Amandeep Singh Bhogal is a British-Indian entrepreneur, engineer, and politician who has been active in the Conservative Party for several years. He is the founder of the Global Britain Centre.[1], an organization that seeks to promote British interests around the world. Bhogal has stood for parliament in both Northern Ireland and London, and has also served as a London Assembly Member.
Early life and education:
Bhogal was born in 1982 in Birmingham, England. He grew up in the West Midlands and attended Aston University where he studied Mechanical Engineering. He attended BETHS Grammar School in Bexley and later became a foundry engineer.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Bhogal went on to pursue a Masters in Engineering Project Management from the University of Birmingham. While still at school, he joined the Conservative Party and has been an active member ever since.
Career:
After completing his education, Bhogal worked as a Project Manager for a number of engineering firms before joining the Conservative Party in 2010. He became involved in local politics and was elected as a Councillor for the London Borough of Redbridge in 2014.
In 2017, Bhogal was appointed as an Advisor to the Prime Minister, working in the Policy Unit at 10 Downing Street. During his time in this role, he worked on a number of key policies, including the government's industrial strategy and the Northern Powerhouse initiative.
In 2019, Bhogal was selected as the Conservative Party's Parliamentary candidate for the constituency of Gravesham in Kent. He ran in the 2019 general election and was elected to the House of Commons, becoming the first turban-wearing Sikh to be elected as an MP in the UK.
In addition to his political activities, Bhogal is also an entrepreneur and has founded a number of successful businesses. He is the founder of the Global Britain Centre[2], an organization focused on supporting free markets, free enterprise, and a free people, by engaging with policymakers, business leaders, and other stakeholders, and by advocating for policies that support British interests.
Personal life:
Bhogal is a practicing Sikh and is actively involved in promoting interfaith dialogue and understanding. He is also a supporter of various charities and social causes, including mental health awareness and education.
