Amber McMillan (born 1981) is a Canadian poet[1][2][3], fiction writer[4], and educator[5]. Born in London, Ontario, McMillan has earned a BA from York University (Toronto), an MA from the University of Victoria (Victoria)[6], and an MFA from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver). She is pursuing her PhD from the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton)[7].

McMillan is the author of the poetry collection We Can't Ever Do This Again (2015)[8], the memoir The Woods: a Year on Protection Island (2016)[9], the short fiction collection The Running Trees (2021)[10][11] and her second poetry collection This Is a Stickup (2022)[12]. In 2017, she was a finalist for the Montreal International Poetry Prize[13][14]. In 2022, her short fiction collection The Running Trees was a finalist for The Atlantic Book Awards[15][16][17][18][19] and The New Brunswick Book Awards[20][21][22]. McMillan's latest poetry collection This Is a Stickup is a finalist for The New Brunswick Book Awards[23][24].

McMillan has taught English at Humber College (Toronto), publishing at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton)[25], and creative writing at St. Thomas University (Fredericton).
