Ambeli is a small village of 195 hectares in Satari Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ambeli depends on VALPOI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ambeli is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Ambeli's pin code is 403506[5], and village code is 00018300. The area of Ambeli is segregated as 10.1 hectares irrigated area, 104.12 hectares unirrigated, the 28.63 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 33.76 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ambeli has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Ambeli is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 104 and has total administration over 22 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of VALPOI and North Goa to sell cashew nuts and make their living.
