Ambarim is a small village of 14 hectares in Tiswadi Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ambarim depends on PANAJI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ambarim is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Ambarim's pin code is 403102[5], and village code is 00006000. The area of Ambarim is segregated as 8.5 hectares unirrigated, the 3.2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 2.18 hectare area not available for cultivation.
