Amarpura is a small village of 965 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Amarpura depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Amarpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Amarpura's pin code is 343040[4], and village code is 02321100. The area of Amarpura is segregated as 33 hectares irrigated area, 904 hectares unirrigated, the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 25 hectare area not available for cultivation.
