Amargarh is a small village of 2635 hectares in Sapotra Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Amargarh depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 113.82% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Amargarh is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Amargarh's pin code is 322218[4], and village code is 01253800. The area of Amargarh is segregated as 423.81 hectares irrigated area, 121.55 hectares unirrigated, the 408.99 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 132.53 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Karauli to sell ghee and make their living.
