Amar Chadha-Patel is a British actor, director, writer, and musician. He is known for his roles in the ITV drama Beecham House (2019) and the Disney+ series Willow (2022). He is a member of the band Strong Asian Mothers and the directing collective Tom & Amar with Tom Allen.[1]
Early life
Chadha-Patel grew up between Highbury in North London and Hackney in East London, while his grandparents lived in a Punjabi Sikh community in West London.[2][3] He was 29 when he decided to go into acting.[4]
Career
Chadha-Patel has directed commercials and fashion campaigns for ASOS, The Kooples, All Saints, and L’Oreal.
The Wheel of Time, and Year of the Rabbit, as well as the 2023 film True Love (2023 film)|True Love. He also appeared in Sex Education in a minor role as ‘Local Moordale Radio DJ’.
Chadha-Patel was announced as a member of the cast for Willow in a Disney+ Day video during Disney+ Day 2021. His role was undisclosed at the time, he plays the role of Boorman, a member of Willow’s team.[5]
He has upcoming roles in the film True Love,[6] the Netflix period drama The Decameron, and the Roku series Slip.
