Born and reared in Maclear, Eastern Cape, Amanda Mankayi is a well-known South African afro soul singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. She was born on September 19, 1986. She is the sister of Nathi Mankayi and hails from a large family of six children. A wonderful talent, Amanda Mankayi Her self-titled debut album went gold and took up the Best Afro-soul prize at the 2016 SATMA Awards. Her grandma was a fantastic vocalist, so she grew up surrounded by musicians. When Zola Ntliziyo, who featured her brother Nathi Mankayi, was published under the Muthaland label, Intonga yam became popular. In addition to the National Arts Festival, Ebubeleni Festival, and Macufe Festival, she has performed in Lesotho and Botswana.
