Amaka Ekwo is Nigerian and British. An Educationalist, Singer and Songwriter. She is also a political and human rights activist.[1]

Early Life and Music Career

Amaka Ekwo was born in Nigeria and comes from a family involved in regional politics. She has described her love for music developing during her formative years, when she would sing in school, college and church in front of audiences.[1]

Political Activism

Amaka advocates for the rights of Igbo's, and is in support of the annexation of Biafra from Nigeria. She served as the previous Secretary for Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu, from July 2019[2] until she resigned on 21 November 2020.[3]
