Allison Dayne is a talented American playwright, director, and writer. She was born and raised in Eagle, Idaho, where she attended ArtsWest High School and began her studies in performing arts and writing.

Dayne went on to pursue her undergraduate degree at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. During her time at Westminster, Dayne founded a theatrical production company called Leading Ladies. The company went on to win a Utah ARTY award for Best Direction and was featured in many magazines and news sources for their contributions to domestic violence awareness. Dayne wrote original plays for Leading Ladies and aimed to put minorities on stage.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Dayne attended the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Georgia, where she earned a Master of Fine Arts in Performing Arts and Writing. While at SCAD, Dayne was accepted into the Atelier Alumni program and created original content for alumni. She also became the youngest writer to graduate from Second City's Comedy Studies program in Chicago.

Dayne has won several awards for her work as a playwright and director, including the Critics Choice Award for her original play "Unrequited" at the Atlanta Fringe Festival. She has also won the "Write Club" national poetry competition.

In addition to her success in the performing arts world, Dayne has faced personal challenges. She became legally blind after a life-altering car accident but did not let this stop her passion for the arts. Dayne continued to direct and write, and she completed an independent feature film entitled "Madly," a modern adaptation of Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull."
