Alla Arutyunyan (born May 30) is a contemporary classical composer and an award-winning pianist known for her unique musical style.[1][2]
Early life and education
Alla Arutyunyan was born in Moscow, Soviet Union where she developed an early passion for the arts. After moving to the United States, she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in order to hone her skills in acting.
Career
Alla Arutyunyan's early roles include appearances in independent films such as Gulag Barashevo (2015), Should the Wind Drop (2020), and New Skin (2014). Prior to her work in film, she had ventured into theatre performing in several notable productions.[3][4][5]
In addition to her work on stage and in front of the camera, Alla Arutyunyan pursued a music career as a film and classical composer.[6] Amongst her most notable works is the film score for the drama film Lola (2014). She has later starred in and written a soundtrack for the short film Leila (2014). After a decade of hiatus, she returned to music and received accolades as a pianist while pushing boundaries to establish a unique sound and offer a new take on classical music.[7]
