Alison Morrow is a former television Journalist. She is currently a media analyst and free-speech advocate. Morrow left traditional television media to pursue a career as an online personality publishing content on multiple platforms.

Career

Morrow began her journalism career as a producer at Fox News in New York City. She left news to complete a Master of Divinity degree at Boston University, specializing in Psychology & Counseling. Her return to news as a reporter took her to newsrooms in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Washington state. Morrow served as an Environmental Reporter for KING-TV in Seattle prior to leaving corporate news.

As an environmental journalist, Morrow broke stories on topics that influenced public policy and perception[1]:

  • Bald eagles and lead poisoning[2]
  • State of Washington killing wolves[3][4]
  • 12 year old demands action to save Orca population[5]
  • $1.5 billion needed to save salmon population[6]
  • Illegal bear hunting despite a Washington voter initiative banning the practice[7]

As a result of Morrow's 2017 investigation into bear hunting with dogs, Washington State was forced to modify its policies.[8] The Center for Biological Diversity filed suit in 2019 against the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services program over its killing of thousands of native animals a year in Washington state.[9] In 2020, the courts ruled that Washington State exceeded its authority and curtailed the bear hunting practice.[10]

Alison left corporate news to act as an independent journalist.[11] She hosts several podcasts covering current events, personal interest stories, environmental issues, and free-speech issues. Her current material can be found on platforms such as YouTube, Locals, Odysee, Twitter, Rokfin, and Facebook.

Controversy

In 2021, Morrow reported through her YouTube channel on content creators that have been demonetized or censored from the platform for parodies that referenced sensitive issues.[17] She included videos posted by media companies NBC and CNN that purported to violate YouTube policies.[18][19] In response to the report, YouTubesuspended Morrow while the reported content remained available.[20] She appealed the decision and was denied. After being reported by other media outlets, her channel was reinstated without explanation.[21][22]
