Ali Cross is a Canadian-American novelist. She is best known for her young adult urban fantasy series "Desolation", including Become, Desolate and Destined. She self-published "Become" in 2011, and it went on to win Best Young Adult Book from the League of Utah Writers in 2012[1] and an Honorable Mention from the Hollywood Book Festival in 2013.[2]
The first book in her Minnie Kim: Vampire Girl series, First Kisses Suck, won a Whitney Award for Best Young Adult Speculative Fiction Novel in 2018.[3] The Whitneys are an awards program for novels written by authors who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This book was included in an anthology titled Sigils and Spells which was a USA Today best seller in January 2018.[4]
