Ali Bacha Ahmed Issam
Ali Bacha Ahmed Issam (Arabic: علي باشا أحمد عصام) born 14 august 1994 in Oran is an Algerian professional basketball player who plays as a point guard for Algerian Basketball Championship club USM Blida and he also played for the Algeria national basketball team.
Ali Bacha began his amator career as a youth player for Algerian club CAS Hammam Bou Hadjar. He turned professional in 2011 with CR Témouchent, where he played for only two seasons before moving to OPOW Tlemcen, spending only one year with them, initially playing for their reserve team after getting some racism problems with the team. In September 2014, Ali Bacha decided to return back to his former team CR Témouchent, helping them win the regional cup there and promotion to the third division League at the end of his third season with them. In the 2016–17 season he began a new challenge joining the NA Hussein Dey team, but the challenge was big there. The next season was the worst, he changed the team again and joined DRB Staouéli but it was not as good as before. His former coach proposed to him to join the pre-season selection of USM Blida in August 2017, he was finally drafted to the primary squad in this team. Ali bacha is an important player of the USM Blida basketball team now.
Algerian Basketball Championship best player of the season in 2017-18, and was a member of the league best team of the year as he helped USM Blida play the Play-offs. He was called to play his first international match for the Algeria men's national basketball team, getting silver medal at the 2018 Arab Basketball Championship, Ali bacha was the first young point guard winner.
Born in Oran, Ali Bacha made his international debut for Algeria in 2018 and represented them at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and at the2022 Arab Basketball Championship.
