Ali Andesikuteb Yakubu (born 22 March 1978) is an environmentalist and advocate for climate change awareness. His expertise encompasses the fields of Geography, Water Resources, and Environmental Resources Planning. Currently, he is affiliated with the Department of Environmental Management at Bingham University Karu, Nigeria.[1] Yakubu's research primarily centers around the identification of human-induced land cover changes, as evidenced by his notable publication titled 'Detection of Human-Induced Land Cover Changes in Nimbia Forest Reserve, Kaduna State, Nigeria.

In addition to his scholarly pursuits, Yakubu is an active participant in various environmental initiatives. He holds a significant role as a governing board member of the esteemed Nigerian Environmental Society, showcasing his dedication to the cause. Dr Andesikuteb Yakubu Ali

Ali Andesikuteb Yakubu was born on March 22, 1978, in Nigeria. He completed his secondary education at Government Day Secondary School Rufu, Taraba State in 1992, followed by obtaining his First School Leaving Certificate from LGEA Primary School Lupwe in 1986. Yakubu pursued higher education at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Geography in 2000. He furthered his studies at the same institution and completed a Master of Science degree in Geography in 2009.

In 2018, Yakubu attained his Doctorate in Environmental and Resources Planning from the University of Jos.

Yakubu has made significant contributions to the field of environmental management through a series of co-authored publications. These works provide valuable insights into various aspects of water supply projects, accessibility to water sources, cost recovery processes, land use, and financial cost analysis in Nigeria.[3]

Throughout his career, Yakubu has garnered several professional qualifications. He became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Development and Social Studies in 2019, underscoring his commitment to social development. Additionally, he earned fellowships from the Institute of Industrial & Corporate Administrators (2014), the Chartered Institute of Investment and Financial Analysts (2012), and the Chartered Institute of Human Capital Development of Nigeria (2014). Furthermore, Yakubu has contributed to editorial board memberships of reputable journals, where he reviewed and edited numerous journal manuscripts.[4]

Currently, Yakubu serves as a Visiting Lecturer at Kwararafa University, Wukari, Taraba State, further highlighting his dedication to education and community engagement. He is also a Lecturer at Bingham University, where he actively engages in teaching, research, and community involvement.
