Ali bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Albishri ( Arabic born December 31, 1959) is a retired Saudi Arabian educator and diplomat.
Early Life and education
Albishri was born in Abha in 1959. He graduated high school in 1977. He attended Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, in Abha, where he graduated with a BA in History in 1981. He later received a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1998.
In 2002, he received a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio University.[1]
Career
Albishri began his career as Associate Professor in the College of Education at King Khalid University, in 2002.
He was appointed as Saudi Arabian Cultural Attaché to Australia in 2006. In 2010, Albishri was named General Director of Cultural Bureaus at the Ministry of Higher Education, in addition to his post.[2] He was again appointed as Cultural Attaché to Canada in 2012, and later served as Cultural Attaché in Spain.[3][4][5]
He retired in 2019.
Personal Life
Albishri lives in Riyadh, with his wife and four children.
