Alexandre Arnault, born on (1992-05-05)May 5, 1992, is a French businessman. He currently serves as the Executive Vice President of the jewelry company Tiffany & Co. and is also a Director of the Carrefour Group. He was previously the General Manager of luxury luggage brand Rimowa. He is the son of Bernard Arnault, owner of the LVMH group.[1]

Biography

Family

Alexandre Arnault is the son of French billionaire businessman Bernard Arnault, owner of the luxury group LVMH - Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton|LVMH, and the Canadian pianist Hélène Mercier-Arnault. He has two younger brothers, Frédéric and Jean, and two half-siblings, Delphine and Antoine.[2]

Education

He attended school at the lycée Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague in Paris.[3] Later, he attended the lycée Louis-le-Grand after which he graduated from Télécom Paris (2013-2015). He also holds a master's degree from the École polytechnique (2015-2016)[4].[5]

Career

In 2016, the company headed by his father, Bernard Arnault, bought 80% of the German luxury luggage brand Rimowa[6]. In 2017, Alexandre Arnault was appointed co-CEO of Rimowa alongside Dieter Morszeck[7].

In April 2019, he replaced his father on the board of directors of Carrefour[8].

In January 2021, he left Rimowa and became the new executive vice president of product and communications for jeweler Tiffany & Co., just acquired by LVMH.[9]

He allegedly resorted to a practice akin to insider trading in a 2022 NFT acquisition procedure.[10][11]

Personal life

He is married to fashion designer Géraldine Guyot, whose brother Charles married the daughter of Martin Bouygues.[12]

He married her on October 16, 2021 in Venice at a ceremony attended by personalities from around the world such as Jay-Z|Jay Z and Beyonce, Roger Federer and David Guetta.[13] Kanye West, a friend of Arnault's, performed at the ceremony.[14][15]
