Alexander Vladimirovich Zorkaltsev (September 2, 1984, Omsk)[1] - Russian public figure, local historian, genealogist and lawyer. Author of a number of scientific and popular science publications, books, projects[2]. Member of the Russian Geographical Society. Founder and director of the popular science historical and local history project “Tara County”[3].

Biography

Born in the city of Omsk. Graduated from Gymnasium No. 43. Graduated from Moscow State Academy of Mechanical Engineering - a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "GUMRF named after. Admiral S. O. Makarov." He worked as a lawyer for a long time.

Local historian of the north of the Omsk region (the territory of the former Tara district of the Tobolsk province). Since 1996, he has collaborated on various topics with the editors of various magazines and newspapers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Omsk, and Tara. Alexander Vladimirovich is the author of a number of scientific and popular science books, publications on the topic of history and genealogy[4][5]. In addition, he is the presenter of several columns on the All-Russian Family Tree (VGD) project.

Since 2006, he has been the founder and director of the popular science historical and local history project “Tara County”.

When writing articles and books, Alexander Vladimirovich also worked with Genealogy organization "Femily Search" (Utah, USA), Harvard Lybrary (Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA).

Currently, he also hosts the historical podcast “Bulletin of Tara County” on major streaming platforms[6]. Alexander Vladimirovich is engaged in photography. He is also a graphic artist.
