Alexander Stockinger (born 9 October 1991) is a norwegian football coach who manages IL Sandviken in the Norwegian Third Division.
Playing Career
Stockinger signed for Reading Football Club's Academy in 2004 by Brendan Rodgers[1]. He signed his academy scholarship in 2008 and played under Eamonn Dolan for two seasons[2]. During his time at the Royals, he featured for the reserves as well as representing Norway at Under 17's and Under 19's level.
He later when on to make 74 appearances for Clemson Tigers men's soccer [3] under Mike Noonan before playing for Førde IL and Fana IL in Norway.
Managerial Career
After rupturing his Anterior cruciate ligament for the second time, Stockinger became the assistant coach for Fana in the Norwegian Third Division. Before becoming assistant coach for the first team, Stockinger had coached the club's U14's, U15's, U16's and U19's, even winning two KM titles in six years [4].
In 2023, Stockinger was announced as the head coach of IL Sandviken. In his first game in charge, Sandviken beat Flaktveit 5-0[5].
