Alex Milway is a British children’s author, illustrator and screenwriter, best known for his debut series Mousehunter published in 2007[1], the Pigsticks and Harold series published in 2014[2] and the Hotel Flamingo series published in 2019.[3] His newest work is the Big Sky Mountain series.[4]

Career

Milway’s Pigsticks and Harold series was developed for TV with Jam Media and Walker Productions[5], and presented at the 2014 Cartoon Forum.[6] His series, Hotel Flamingo (Piccadilly Press[7]) was shortlisted for the 2020 Alligator’s Mouth Award.[8] Milway’s most recent series Big Sky Mountain (Piccadilly Press[9]) was published on June 10, 2021. The sequel, Big Sky Mountain: The Forest Wolves, has a release date of February 3, 2022.[10]

Milway has adapted two books for the screen: Tales of Franz (ARX Anima)[11] and The Magic Fix (Zodiak Kids).[12]

He also founded the Crystal Palace Children’s Book Festival.[13]
