Aldo Chacon (born September 19, 1986) is a Mexican-American portrait photographer.[1][2]and director[3]

His work has been featured internationally in publications such as Complex[4], Vogue Mexico, Time[5], Wired Magazine[6][7], Aint-Bad[8] and The Los Angeles Times[9]. He has also created images for sports teams, athletes and celebrities including Olivier Giroud, Marcus Rashford, John Leguizamo[10], George Lopez[11], Brit Marling, Drew Doughty, The Los Angeles Kings, Manchester United and LAFC. He is a founder and creative director at Wild Goats Creative and he is part of the director duo[12] "Los Chacon[13]" together with his sibling, actor Salvador Chacon.

Early life

He was born in Mexico City, Mexico on September 19, 1986. He first studied business at The University of Texas-Pan American and after graduating decided to move to Barcelona, Spain to pursue a career in photography assisting fashion and commercial photographers in Europe. He went on to relocate to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in sports, editorial and advertising photography.

Career

In 2011 he began his carrer in photography as an assistant in a fashion studio in Barcelona, Spain. After working on his first book Papalosophy[14] alongside Chef Joel Serra bevin|Joel Serra he decided to relocate to LA, to pursue a full time career in photography. Once in LA he worked for Televison[15][16]and Film campaigns alongside actors like Danny Trejo[17], Big Freedia[18][19] and Gabriel Iglesias. He later started working in fine art photography projects and editorials and advertising campaigns.

Known for an edgy range of subject matter and his approach to color in photography[20] he is widely recognized for his iconic celebrity portraiture, his sports photography, his urban set designs[21] and most recently his photography works in diverse mediums. He has created portraits[22] of celebrities and athletes such as Brit Marling, Blitz Bazawule, Tierra Whack, Yuki Tsunoda, Kali Uchis, Diego Calva[23], Jagger Eaton[24], SahBabii, Kid Cudi adnd Ezra Frech. He is currently an American Photography Winner[25]. His clients for print, music and advertising[26]include Adidas[27], Alpha Tauri[28][29], Audible, Doordash, ESPN, Fuse, Gatorade, Github, Red Bull[30][31]Red Bull Spotify and Toyota.
