Albert Alexander Smith (September 17, 1896 - 1940) was an artist and illustrator from the United States.[1] Works by him are at the National Portrait Gallery.[2][3]
He received a Harmon Award (List of winners of the William E. Harmon Foundation Award for Distinguished Achievement Among Negroes).
He was born in New York City. He emigrated to France.
The Whitney Museum of American Art has a work titled Pioneer--1900, in watercolor and pencil, that he created.[4] The Melvin Holmes Collection of African American Art has several of his works.[5]
