Alan Jackman (born October 24, 1958)[1] is a British drummer who was the drummer for The Outfield from 1984 to 1989 and again from 2009 to their disbandment in 2014.
Besides the Outfield Jackman also works with Albert Lee.[1]
Biography
Jackman was born in Slough England in 1958. He would play with Tony Lewis and John Spinks in the 1970s.[2] He would join the Outfield in 1984 and record Play Deep with them. The album was a hit. Jackman also appeared in many of the bands music videos.[3] Alan would also record Bangin'. In 1989 after Voices of Babylon Alan left the band.[4] After the album the band would go on tour and drummer Paul Reed would fill in for that one tour.[5]
They would get new drummer Simon Dawson in the band to tour and record with them. In 2001 Jackman would appear on drums on several Mike Berry songs.[6][7] In 2009 Jackman returned to the band to record Replay. He would stay with the band until 2014 when guitarist John Spinks died of liver cancer and the band broke up. After the band broke up Jackman started touring with Albert Lee.
