Alain Emile Abi Rizk (1985-Present) is an Associate Professor of animal health management and viral pathogenesis coordinator of the agriculture engineering program at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (Holy Spirit University of Kaslik), whose academic work focuses on Animal Health management, virology, genetics, and cancers [1] in Lebanon and the Middle East.[2]
He is the Founder of One-Health SAL, a global technical consultant in animal health and a TV celebrity on Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International[3] and MTV (Lebanon)[4] Lebanon.
In recognition of his scientific work, in 2014 Abi Rizk won the "Lebanese Association for the Advancement of Science" research award [5].
Career
Abi Rizk began his career in Eli Lilly and Companyand company, as an animal health representative.
Between 2013- and 2018, he was appointed as Assistant professor at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences in the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (Holy Spirit University of Kaslik). In 2017 he was appointed as Head of the agricultural sciences. In 2018 he was promoted to the rank of Associate professor. In 2017 Abi Rizk founded One Health SAL, a unique laboratory and consultancy firm that serves local and regional animal production companies, veterinary clinics and hospitals [6].
Since 2015, Abi Rizk is a celebrity on the Lebanese media, mainly MTV (Lebanon) and Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International. He is best known to the public as the National Animal Production Expert.
Personal life
- Abi Rizk was born in Lebanon in 1985, and is of Maronites Christian descent. He was educated at “Collège des Apôtres" and received his Agriculture Engineering diploma from the Holy Spirit University of Kalsik Lebanon in 2008 and his Doctor of Philosophy in Cellular Biology “microorganisms, infection, interaction” from Claude Bernard University Claude Bernard University Lyon 1France in 2012 [7].
- In 2013, Abi Rizk married French Graphic Designer Lara Sobeh. They have a daughter born in 2014 and a son born in 2019.
