Akya is a small village of 416 hectares in Nimbahera Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Akya depends on Chittaurgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 30.03% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Akya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Akya's pin code is 312601[4], and village code is 03656200. The area of Akya is segregated as 88.03 hectares irrigated area, 139.97 hectares unirrigated, the 125.9 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 61.64 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chittaurgarh and Chittorgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
