Akwasi Owusu-Bempah is a Canadian author and academic. He is a professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto and a Senior Fellow at Massey College. His book Race, Ethnicity, Crime and Justice: An International Dilemma examines issues of race, crime and criminal justice in countries around the world.[1][2]
Owusu-Bempah served as the Direct of Research for Cannabis Amnesty, a lobby group that works to reform Canadian drug laws. He is the recipient of 2019 Charles Taylor Prize for Excellence in Policy Research.[3][4][5]
