Akola is a small village of 1100 hectares in Agra Tehsil in Agra district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Akola depends on Agra (CB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Akola's pin code is 283102[4], and village code is 01579200. The area of Akola is segregated as 65 hectares irrigated area, 363 hectares unirrigated, the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 150 hectare area not available for cultivation.
