Ahaan Panday (born 23 December 1997) is an Indian actor, model, assistant director, and social media personality.[1] He made his Bollywood debut in the 2025 romantic drama Saiyaara (Yash Raj Films), playing Krish Kapoor, a rising singer. A member of the prominent Panday family, he is the son of businessperson Chikki Panday and wellness expert Deanne Panday, nephew of actor Chunky Panday, and cousin of actress Ananya Panday.[2]
Early Life & Education
Ahaan was born and raised in Mumbai to prominent parents: his father Aloke “Chikki” Panday, a businessman and charity founder, and his mother Deanne Panday, a wellness coach and author. He attended Oberoi International School, Mumbai, then pursued a BFA in cinematic arts and production at the University of Mumbai.
Career
Assistant Director (2016–2023)
Panday began behind the camera, working as an assistant director on Bollywood films such as Freaky Ali (2016), Rock On 2 (2016), Mardaani 2 (2019), and on the Netflix miniseries The Railway Men (2023) starring R. Madhavan and Kay Kay Menon. On The Railway Men, he reflected on the professional and emotional challenges faced during production.[3][4]
Modelling & Social Media
Before his acting launch, Panday appeared on the runway for designer Nandita Mehtani and at fashion shows for KOOVS.com. He built a considerable social media presence, Instagram following 1 Million sharing fitness and behind the scenes content.[5]
Acting Debut: Saiyaara (2025)
He debuted as Krish Kapoor, an aspiring singer, opposite Aneet Padda in Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films.[6] The film received strong box office and critical responses: ₹20 cr on opening day, ₹80 cr opening weekend, and praise for the fresh lead pair.
