Afzalur Rahman was born in 1915 in Malikpur Village in Gujranwala, Punjab.
He was one of the founders of The Muslim Educational Trust (MET), formed in 1966. He was the host of an event for Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on his State visit to the UK in 1967.[1]
Afzalur Rahman wrote dozens of books on Islam[2], including The Economic Doctrines of Islam[3], Quranic Sciences[4] and the series Muhammad: Encyclopedia of Seerah.[5][6][7]
He passed away in London in 1998, aged 83.[8]
