Bhumgara was born and raised in Pune, India, to parents Yazad and Shernaz Bhumgara. She is the great-granddaughter of world-cyclist Rustom R. Bhumgara. She pursued her master's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Engineering Management at Northwestern University. [3]

She has worked as a Product Manager - User Experience at Verkada, having previously served as Lead Product Manager at Goalster Corp.
