Aged 23, Adel N.G. Motean is a native of Camp Levieux, Rose-Hill. He has been trained by the Olympic Bronze Medalist, Bruno Julie, out of the STR Stanley, Trèfles, Rose-Hill. Motean joined Plaisance Boxing Gym as an Amateur Boxing Trainer in 2014. In 2021, he became part of Rudy’s Sports Firm as a High Level Athlete.

Motean boasts several achievements throughout his boxing career, such as:

  • Motean has been part of more than 40 amateur fights.
  • He is a two time Gold- medallist at Jeux de Lavenir.
  • In 2014, he won the silver medal in the CJSOI Games while in 2016, he won the gold medal in the Jeux (Inter Iles) Rodrigues.
  • He was also the first professional Mauritian boxer at the Super Middle Weight Class (76kgs).
  • Adel is a professional Sparring partner to BRD, South Africa.

Adel has been part of two fights which are as follows: 1. He won his debut fight against George Ochieng (2022) in Charter Hall, Nairobi with a Total Knockout. 2. He lost the second fight against Lucien Botumbe (2023) in Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Nairobi, with a Knockout.

In 2022, Rudy’s Sports Firm, a professional sports management firm based in Mauritius, signed Motean as a professional Boxer.
